Alicia’s Latin Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
This is a wonderful, locally owned and operated, restaurant. They have a mix of Mexican, Honduran and other Latin influences, food and drinks. They have a full bar with all of the liquors and it’s nice that the bar is separated a bit from the rest of the restaurant. There is a TV in the bar but not in the restaurant area - which is nice. I’ve been there a couple of times and will definitely return.
Great service, very friendly. Authentican Mexican food! It's delicious. I just love it! The best tacos I've ever tried. I recommend this place 100%.
Food was good, portions were good size for price, and service was great. The waitress we had was a bit new and had never tried lengua taco, but I verified it was good and recommended she try it. I also got the ramen (I know, odd choice for a Latin restaurant) and it was good, but the only thing I'd change is having the egg soft boiled instead of hard boiled.
I live when I try New dishes that blow my taste. I try the dish that are fried green bananas with fried chicken and was a big surprise in flavor. Something very traditional that was my first time here. The service was excellent, the food is great, the price was right. A great place to try some food out of the traditional mexican food. They also have the traditional mexican food but I will recomend you to try something New for you.
Had breakfast at Alicia’s for the first time. Wow!!! Crepes were unreal. I didn’t think anything could beat the Michelada but it gave it a run. Sad they only serve breakfast on weekends. Must stop! Ps cute server too.
Food was really good. Had a bowl - was super good. We also had the carnitas - was tasty and good. Burrito is good as well. Great presentation. Salsa is really good too.
Didn't realize it was opening night when we decided to go here. This was a good decision! Food was really good! Tortillas were handmade and delicious! The chips were crispy and salsa was fresh. Service was okay, but again it was opening night. I will go here again. Beer was 2 for 1 and it was huge! Very Reasonably priced!
Finally I can get delicious, authentic Mexican food and a pleasant sit-down dining experience right here in New Brighton! They also offer other types of Latin cuisine in addition to Mexican dishes. Fantastic micheladas! I ordered a side of fried yucca, which came with a tasty, spicy sauce (I think it was a creamy chipotle sauce). This wasn't listed on the menu, but I just asked for a side of yucca and my wish was granted. I had their sopes, which were every bit as yummy as the pictures led me to believe. My husband ordered tacos, which he really enjoyed - he's from Mexico, so he knows what a good taco is. I can't wait to return to try several other items on their menu, like a mojarra (fish), a chicken tinga quesadilla on a homemade tortilla, and their quesabirrias. I get hungry just thinking about it. I hope they add mole de pollo to their menu someday! Our server was friendly, attentive, and bilingual. Alicia's is our new go-to restaurant for date night!

The Fajita Quesadilla (with your choice of steak or chicken) served alongside sour cream, guacamole, and a chile torreado is a true crowd-pleaser, as described by satisfied customers like Thelonious P., who claims they serve “the best tacos this side of the Mississippi!” For seafood lovers, the Camerones Borrachos—jumbo tiger shrimp cooked with tequila and arbol sauce—guarantees a flavor explosion in every bite.
